We get a lot of people that ask us for the Scold's Bridle to be a 'good fit'.

The best way and the way we think that the bridle should be worn is by keeping it a bit loose.  By keeping the bridle loose it makes it much more uncomfortable to wear as the weight of the bridle has to be taken on the lower jaw and tongue; resting on the tongue is especially relevant as this makes it much more difficult to speak.

The issue with making the bridle 'to fit' is that if we get it even the slightest bit too small then it will never fit, remember that it is made of steel and so you can't just bend it or stretch it to fit.

We also get a lot of people saying to us that they want it to be worn for extended periods, some for a couple of days.  We're not saying that this can't be done but from feedback that we have had and from our own experience, you'll be lucky if you can put up with it for more than a few hours.  When we say this is an uncomfortable contraption we really do mean it!

If there is anything else that you want to know about the Scold's Bridle then please feel free to drop us an email and we'll be happy to do all we can to help.
